Hi all,

I thought i would tell you a little about Lewis, our very brave little man.

We sadly lost our precious son on April 6th 2004, he was two years and eight months old. He had hplh, he had stage one at 10 days old, and stage two at four months old, we were told stage three was not an option to risky due to a very severe leak, and because he was retaining fluid. So Lewis was placed onto the urgent heart transplant list, we prayed for the call to arrive but sadly it did not and we lost our precious son. I have not written much as we have a web site in Lewis's name where you can read his story, please feel free to take a look, I value peoples opinions.

Lewis was a happy, smiling child. He never let his illness get him down, he definitely taught us a thing or two. He constantly amazed his consultants at both Shrewsbury hospital & bch, many a time they prepared us for the worst but each time Lewis bounced back. He was not a typical hypo plastic child, lack of appetite, you must be joking Lewis eat anything you put in front of him, he even enjoyed spicy food!! His Shrewsbury consultant once said Lewis has taken the book on hplh, ripped it up & said I'm doing this my way.

Although he could not yet talk properly he communicated very well with us & his older brothers & sister, and we all miss him so very much. We talk about him every day, he is and always will be a very special part of our family.

We love and miss him very much
