FUNDRAISING

We are starting off with our info on fundraising, but, throughout, we are expressing thanks to everyone who has helped with events, offered prizes and services free so that we were able to raise money for our group.

20th November 2004 we held our first fun day at The Wingspan Social Club. We can now confirm that the final amount collected in aid of this cause was £509.72; of this money we will be donating £100.00 to Children In Need.   

Thanks again to everyone who helped to make this possible.

February 11th 2005 our first CHD Awareness Day Event at the Rose & Crown Pub. The final amount raised after deducting our expenses for the ‘CHD Day Rose’ (more about this later) was £182.04 of this we donated £15 each to Little Hearts Matter, Heartline and ECHO.

We would like to thank those who donated prizes (listed in the last update) and to:

• Lisa who donated bunches of balloons to decorate the pub; they were lovely, thank-you. lisacotton1@hotmail.com

• Cakecraft who donated a fruit cake with our logo on the top.  We auctioned this and got an incredible £50 for it, thank-you very much. 01293 520875 Gales Drive in Three Bridges.

February 14th 2005 our second CHD Awareness Day Event at Green Fields Church hall. Although we did take £66 on refreshments, decorating biscuits, donations and the silent auctions we had incurred expenses of over £115.24 without deducting the remainder of the ‘CHD Day Rose’ costs and the kind payment of the hall that was made by Anna’s mum.

However we still donated another £6 to Little Hearts Matter as they had very kindly donated us some prizes that we used. Again, we would like to thank everyone who helped and for the 2 prizes that were donated and used for the auction-the Meal at TGI Fridays, and the massage offered by Roger Molesworth 01293 851465
