Memory Boxes are a simple way to store keepsakes when someone has passed away, they are probably more widely used when a child loses a parent rather than brother or sister but still a very easy way to keep all your memories in one place.
One more alternative is a small wooden box, these can be as simple or as decorative as one wishes, the advantage of these is that they can be kept on shelf as a decorative object.
They are also suitable for a child or adult and are very personal as most will be a ‘one-off’ item made solely for the purpose of keeping the memories of a loved one.
Construction details available on request at no cost.but anyone with even basic woodwork skills will have no problem designing and constructing a personalised wooden memory box.
Another alternative is a chocolate tin, which will withstand the test of time better than a shoe box, though it should be chosen carefully to avoid any possibility of future rusting,
Possibly the simplest form is a standard shoe box, decorated by the child using patterned paper or paint, which could makes the box more personal to the child,
In truth any container that can be personalised by the child will do, the two on the right are a box file, and an old first aid kit box, they can be painter or decorated to suit the child, it simply depends on how many items are to be stored,
