Committee Roles

Members of the committee are responsible for managing the organisation.

Each volunteer must be willing to read and abide by the Organisations

o Constitution (the rules that outline how the organisation operates)

o the Policies and Procedures so they have a mutual understanding of necessary requirements (eg: for Health & Safety, Safeguarding Children and Young People)


An AGM is scheduled for May 2009 and anyone interested must nominate themselves ready to be voted on board by the members. Dependent upon role certain checks may need to be made.

1. Co-Secretary

We are looking for a volunteer with internet access and the ability to communicate this way as required. This is estimated to be an average of 2 hours a week; ideally at least every few days but at times convenient to the individual.

The person would be required to attend committee meetings that are held every 2 to 3 months which are based in Crawley for at least 2 hours usually evenings.


The person will work with the organisation’s Secretary to ensure that

We are looking for a volunteer with internet access and the ability to communicate this way as required. This is estimated to be an average of 2-3 hours a month to keep up to speed with the communications at times convenient to the individual.

The person would be required to attend committee meetings that are held every 2 to 3 months which are based in Crawley for at least 2 hours usually evenings.

We are looking for a volunteer with internet access and the ability to communicate this way as required. This is estimated to be an average of 20 minutes 3 to 4 times a week to keep up to speed with any membership enquiries at times convenient to the individual.

The person would be required to attend committee meetings that are held every 2 to 3 months which are based in Crawley for at least 2 hours usually evenings.

4. Grants Coordinator

We are looking for a volunteer with internet access and the ability to communicate this way as required. This is estimated to be an average of 1 hour every 2 weeks to keep up to speed with any grant application requests at times convenient to the individual.

The person would be required to attend committee meetings that are held every 2 to 3 months which are based in Crawley for at least 2 hours usually evenings.

We are looking for a volunteer with internet access and the ability to communicate this way as required. This is estimated to be an average of 2 hours every 2 to 3 months at times convenient to the individual.
