Welcome to Understanding Differences
~awareness, information and support about any diagnosis, loss and bereavement~
The purpose of the partnership is to work together to:
Providing a network of information, support and personal knowledge about a range of physical & emotional experiences will increase understanding within the community and amongst affected families and so in forming an inclusive, diverse and vibrant network we can together support, co-ordinate and develop awareness in communities where children and hence families frequent.
The ethos behind our approach is that, a happy parent is a happy child and vice versa. We recognise that the entire family may have a need when there is a diagnosis in a family no matter how big or small that diagnosis or what the ages are of those in the family.
There are many diverse voluntary and paid Organisations & Charities working for the benefit of children. In many cases the groups within the sector standalone with specific Aims and limited funds. Some are large, some are small, and some are part of a national network.
However those we approach to be a part of this partnership have a common goal, complimentary to our own.
The partnership’s approach is to harness all that is good and working well, to build upon the strengths of existing networks and to develop these services to a new level in order to enhance the range of information, activities, benefits, services and support available to families.
Our partnership aim is to:
